Hugh Ferridge MBA
Hugh has over 20 years experience in the field of loss prevention, risk management and security including responsibility for insurance programs, disaster recovery and writing strategic policy for a variety of organisations including Forte, Pepsi, Whitbread, Kingfisher and latterly Burberry.
On leaving Kingfisher Hugh took a year away from the corporate scene and went to Kingston University where he studied for and achieved his Masters degree in Business Administration concentrating on:
- International business
- Virtual Business
- Creativity and innovation in business growth
- His dissertation was written on the enhancement of business productivity through the application of corporate risk management strategies in retail.
After completing his MBA Hugh took a global responsibility as the of Head of Loss Prevention at Burberry the resurgent fashion brand. In the ensuing 2 ½ years defined and implemented a program of strategic and operational measures throughout the business that ensured improved viability of the business from manufacturing through the supply chain to customers and the retail environment. This added value to the firm through economy, reducing operating costs and consistently reducing the cost of shrinkage year on year.
Hugh is now managing director of EEL (End to End Loss Prevention) to provide interim and strategic guidance to reduce operating costs and add value to business by identifying weakness in the generic business process from end to end and providing value added solutions with the aim of reducing loss.
